Welcome to my portfolio!

My name is Isabel Mercedes.

I am a polyglot Communications specialist from Southern Switzerland with a background a BSc in Mass Communication & New Media, a MSc in Technologies for Human Communication and a federal diploma in Web Design.

Currently, I'm an Interaction Design student at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), where I will complete a Master of Arts in 2027. As an aspiring Interaction Designer with a huge flair for video games, metal, Goth, hardcore punk, and rhythmic noise music, I aim to improve and enrich people's lives by designing innovative, intuitive, and meaningful devices, interfaces, and experiences.

The featured projects – created during the MA in Interaction Design at SUPSI, as well as during DesignLab's UX Design online boot camp under my DesignLab mentor Christian Bögner – demonstrate my skills in designing, programming, and developing tangible prototypes using Arduino boards, different sensors, LED panels, 3D printing, laser cutting, JavaScript, HTML & CSS, some C++, and Autodesk Fusion.

They also showcase my expertise at designing apps and responsive websites using software and tools such as Adobe CC and Figma, performing (user) research and usability tests with real people.
