Grüezi! Salve! Hallo!

Bonjour! Hello! Hola!

I’m Isabel Mercedes — a multilingual Interaction Designer in training at SUPSI, currently based in Verscio, Ticino. I’m deeply drawn to the intersections of design, technology, video games, and psychology, and how they shape the way people engage with digital experiences.

I grew up fascinated by the quiet magic of computers — how interfaces, websites, and games could open entire worlds with a single click. My early experiments in Photoshop and web design were attempts to understand that magic, to recreate the experiences that had captivated me. Over time, these explorations intertwined with my love for writing, reading, music, and psychology, forming the foundation of a creative path centered on human experience and digital expression.

My studies in Mass Communication, New Media, and later Technologies for Human Communication deepened this fascination. Courses in Interaction Design and HCI revealed how design can shape behavior, emotion, and understanding — and how thoughtful UX/UI can make digital products feel intuitive, supportive, and meaningful. Even when my professional journey led me into roles far from design, the pull toward creativity, research, and technology never faded.

After completing a UX Design bootcamp while working full‑time, I realized I needed a more tactile, collaborative environment — a place to explore interaction in all its forms. This led me to the MA in Interaction Design at SUPSI, where I now work with digital interfaces, prototyping tools, and interdisciplinary teams. Here, I’m building the skills and perspectives that allow me to design clear, human‑centered interfaces and digital experiences that inform, support, and inspire.

My goal is to create UX/UI work that improves everyday life in subtle, meaningful ways — through clarity, empathy, and thoughtful design.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
